It’s been true since our founding over 75 years ago. Our mission is to help corn growers produce a more productive and profitable crop. Our independent, US farm family-owned business is unique in the seed industry.
We’re fiercely independent, which means we get to make independent decisions. We don’t have a parent company constantly in our ear telling us what to do, or an unrelenting need to please stockholders. Just like our founder Bill Wyffels Sr. when he started the company 75 years ago, we’re in business to help corn growers succeed. Period.
We’re not trying to sell you everything, just the one thing we do better than anybody. And by focusing our efforts on the Central Corn Belt, we’re able to offer hybrids specifically engineered for fields in our immediate market territory. Like yours. Our products are developed here and tested here, in order to be planted and perform here.
Most of our employees were raised on farms and in farming communities. So their personal connections to growing corn and helping neighbors motivates them to try harder and work smarter than the people that work at most any other seed company.
