AVOCA, Iowa — Wyffels Hybrids, in partnership with Bound, has named Collin Harder, a senior at AHSTW Community School District, as one of the recipients of the prestigious Corn Belt Award and Scholarship, honoring his outstanding leadership, athletic achievement, and commitment to community service.
The Corn Belt Award recognizes six Iowa student-athletes annually—three females and three males—who exemplify character, perseverance, and service. Each recipient receives a $1,000 scholarship and the signature Corn Belt Award championship belt. Harder is a multi-sport athlete competing in football, basketball, and track, where he has earned respect for his work ethic, sportsmanship, and leadership. Beyond athletics, Collin is deeply involved in school and community organizations, including Student Council, FFA, National Honor Society, FBLA, and the Silver Cord program. He also participates in agricultural teams such as crop scouting and livestock judging, reflecting his strong ties to rural values.
His commitment to service is equally impressive. Collin volunteers through Trinity Lutheran Church, assisting with youth programs, Vacation Bible School, and the church food pantry. He has contributed to initiatives like Operation Christmas Child, the AHSTW Blood Drive, and the Avoca Live Nativity, and supports youth sports as a volunteer coach.
“I have no doubt that Collin will continue to make a meaningful difference in the future and make the world a better place,” said Jackson Renberg local High School Teacher and coach, who nominated him for the award.
