At Wyffels Hybrids, we believe the future of agriculture—and our communities—depends on strong leaders with character, perseverance and commitment to service. That’s why we’re proud to recognize outstanding student-athletes across Iowa through the Corn Belt Award and Scholarship program.
This winter, two exceptional seniors—Kendra Boatman of Keokuk High School and Jasper Wilson of Bondurant-Farrar High School—have earned this prestigious honor, highlighting their achievements both on the field and in their communities.
Recognizing Excellence Across Iowa
In partnership with Bound, the Wyffels Hybrids Corn Belt Award celebrates six Iowa high school student-athletes each year—three female and three male—who exemplify character, perseverance, and service. Each recipient receives a $1,000 scholarship and the signature Corn Belt Award championship belt.
These students don’t just excel in athletics, they make a lasting difference in their schools and communities.
Kendra Boatman: Leading Through Service and Determination
Kendra Boatman, a senior at Keokuk High School, stands out as a dedicated multi-sport athlete and community leader. Competing in volleyball, basketball and track and field, she has demonstrated discipline, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.
Outside of athletics, Kendra’s impact continues. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has been recognized on the all-state academic team. Her leadership extends into her role on the Youth Leadership Team, where she helps organize and lead community-based initiatives.
Kendra’s service efforts span a wide range of organizations, including Main Street Keokuk, River Hills Nursing Home, The Best You Coalition, local churches and the Weekend Food Bag Program—making a meaningful difference in those around her.
Jasper Wilson: A Commitment to Leadership and Community Impact
Jasper Wilson, a senior at Bondurant-Farrar High School, exemplifies what it means to lead both on and off the field. A four-sport athlete competing in basketball, baseball, track and football, Jasper has earned respect for his work ethic, sportsmanship, and leadership.
His involvement doesn’t stop at athletics. Jasper is an active participant in the Bluejay Digital Media Program, a member of the National Honor Society and part of the Raccoon River Conference Leadership program.
Jasper's dedication to service is especially noteworthy. Through the Silver Cord Volunteer Service program, he has completed more than 500 hours of community service. He also volunteers with Special Olympics and was recognized by his peers as Homecoming King.
Building a Stronger Future
Kendra and Jasper represent the very best of Iowa student-athletes—individuals who go beyond personal achievement to uplift those around them. Their stories are a testament to the values at the heart of the Corn Belt Award: leadership, character and service.
We're proud to celebrate their accomplishments and support their continued success as they take the next steps in their journeys.
