September 9th Event Discussions:
Harvest Readiness: What to Watch For This Fall
Doug Houser and Austin Miller from Iowa State's Digital Ag Innovation Lab will cover tips and tricks to optimize your combines this fall. In the session, they will cover topics about the importance of a quality yield monitor calibration, how to properly calculate and pinpoint the cause of machine losses, and lastly, cover the importance of a quality spread of crop residue in the fall.
Finish Strong: Pre-Harvest Scouting That Pays
An above-average summer of heat and rain has pushed crop development ahead of schedule while also fueling disease pressure and stalk quality concerns. Wyffels Agronomy Managers Robby Meeker and Ryan Gentle will walk through what to evaluate in your fields now and how those observations should shape your harvest schedule. There are still things we can do to minimize harvest loss, reduce lodging risk, and protect the yield you’ve worked for all season.
Lessons from 2025: Turning 2025 Insights into 2026 Success
Every season teaches us something, and 2025 will be no exception. Wyffels Agronomy Managers Robby Meeker and Ryan Gentle will lead a discussion on the management strategies that paid off this year, and how those lessons can be applied looking ahead to 2026. Topics such as fungicide decisions, nitrogen timing and fertility planning will be discussed. This session will help you think critically about which practices are worth carrying forward and how to adapt management to the changing economic environment.
