As the 2026 Between the Rows® – In Field Edition series ended, growers, industry professionals and agricultural enthusiasts gathered in Ames, Iowa, for another impactful evening focused on helping farmers make informed decisions in real time.
Throughout the summer, the goal of Between the Rows® has remained simple: bring together trusted experts, practical research and local field observations to help farmers navigate the growing season with confidence. The final event delivered on that promise.
Over 80 attendees had the opportunity to hear from a strong lineup of speakers, including Wyffels Product Manager Dr. Brent Tharp, Wyffels Area Agronomy Manager Eric Wilson, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach plant pathology expert Dr. Alison Robertson and the Digital Ag Innovation Lab at Iowa State University. Together, they shared insights on agronomy, crop management, disease pressure, hybrid performance, combine setup, and the latest university research impacting corn production today.
What made this event especially valuable was the combination of science-backed information and practical, field-level application. Discussions focused on the challenges growers are experiencing this season and offered actionable takeaways farmers can use as they prepare for harvest and begin planning for 2027.
Just as important as the content were the conversations that happened between sessions. Events like Between the Rows create opportunities for farmers to connect with researchers, agronomists and fellow growers, exchanging ideas and learning from one another's experiences. Those interactions continue to be one of the most rewarding aspects of the series.
