Plants Their Independence
Jason Pietsch began farming in 2002 alongside his uncle, marking the start of what would become a deeply personal and enduring journey. After the passing of Jason’s father, the family faced a crossroads—but Jason, driven by a promise he made to his dad, chose to keep farming. Today, he works closely with his son, Justin, and his cousin, Dan, turning that promise into reality. The trio farms across several counties, with corn and soybeans as their primary rotation. They take a thoughtful, collaborative approach, holding regular meetings to review the unique needs of each farm. This year, they planted 100% of their corn acres with Wyffels, a decision rooted in their ongoing focus on results and maximizing yield.
While they’re proud of how far they’ve come, Jason and his family remain focused on growth—always striving to improve and honor the legacy that started it all.
The Pietsch family raises corn and soybeans in southwest Minnesota. Proudly independent since 2002.
